Welcome to Aura, much more than your average Beauty Salon. Since we first opened the smaller salon next door in 2002 we have come a long way, and can confidently boast the widest range of treatments and services for miles around.
Since winning 'Business of the Year in 2003' we have continued to evolve improving our range of treatments and adding state of the art equipment such as the recent launch of ‘Ellipse IPL' for permanent hair reduction. This is further supported by our recent move next door into this larger building enabling us to cater for more of our 3,000 strong customer database. This new purpose built salon boasts the addition of a designated pedicure section and ‘state of the art' spray tanning facilities in addition to extra treatment rooms all containing adjustable ‘mood lighting' and private shower facilities.
Led by the proprietor Emma Hargreaves, Aura's team of therapists are professionally trained to the highest standards in the industry, across a range of high quality brands including Elemis, Nimue, Kimia, Ellipse, Caci, Ultratone and many more. Aura's services extend to cosmetic and aesthetic treatments such as ‘Wrinkle Fine Line Management' (e.g. Botox) and ‘Teeth Whitening' (‘Beyond White Spa') performed by Fully Qualified Nurse Practitioners. With additional complimentary SPA facilities such as Steam Room and Infra-Red Sauna we aim to provide an experience normally associated with high class hotels.

Meet the team

Karen Hargreaves -Nail Technician
My name is Karen and i am a nail technician at Aura, experienced for 13 years.
I love my job and the place i work, it can be both fun and relaxing at the same time. I love a challange and have never turned anyone away because their nails were too short. Most of all i love doing nails that are very short and to see the clients reaction when i have finished is worth every minute of the treatment time.
I am trained in Acrylics both sculptured and tips,bio gel,pedicures,blading and also tans.
My aim is for clients to have beautiful; nails,tan and feet, also to feel good when they leave.

Kimberley Holt - Beauty therapist
My name is Kimberley Holt from Bolton and i am 24 years old.
I trained at Bolton College and have been doing beauty now for over 2 years.
I have done alot of training whilst i have been at Aura both in house and training courses for Elemis (level 3 face and body),Nimue,Elipse (IPL permanent hair reduction),Kimia, Lavish lashes (semi-permanent) and much more.
I enjoy most of all doing semi-permanet lashes and also massaging and nails, i love making a difference to someones life and making them feel happy when they leave.
My Hobbies are going swimming and shopping and going to the gym.
I hope to be in beauty for a long time to come and gain more experience and qualifications.

Kate Arkwright - Senior Therapist
My Name is Kate I am from Bolton and I am 23 years old. I have been qualified as a beauty therapist for over 4 years, I worked for Emma for 3 years and have now gone self-employed in the last year.
I absolutely love my job and enjoy making clients feel good about themselves.
In my spare time I like to go to the gym and spend time with my family and friends.
In the future I hope to build on my skills as a therapist to provide the best service possible.

Hayley Crossman - Beauty therapist
My name is Hayley i am 27 years old i am from Bolton.
I trained 2 years ago at central Manchester college for Health and Beauty, and i have worked at Aura since April 2010.
I have done lots of training since i have been at Aura such as, Elemis, Nimue,IPL and teeth whitening.
I enjoy doing all treatments and meeting new people.
I think Aura is a pleasant and relaxing place to come to and work.
My aim is to progress onto teaching aswell as working still in the beauty industry.

Gillain Armstrong-Advanced Practitioner.
With over 28 years of nursing experience behind her Gillian Armstrong an Independent Nurse Practitioner carries out the Gold Standard of recognised aesthetic treatments.

Alessandra Toft BSc- Clinical Reflexology.
After completing my Clinical Reflexology qualification at manchester university, I have gained 10 Years experience.
My work in varioius Clinics and salons, has given me many years of valuable practical experience.
During this time I have continued to develop my skills to help people to relax, unwind and de-stress and have also been to provide a welcome relief from pain and illness.
